Privacy Policy — Machonanim (Thinking & Riddles)

Machonanim – Thinking & Riddles ("the app") is an educational game for practising reasoning ahead of the national gifted-program screening test, aimed at third-grade children. We respect your and your children's privacy. This page explains what the app collects — and mainly, how little.

What we do NOT collect

• No sign-up, account, name, email, phone number, or any identifying details.
• No ads, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking. We do measure basic usage with a Google tool — see “Usage measurement” below.
• We do not sell, rent, or share information with commercial parties.
• Game progress (completed levels, stars, belts) is stored locally on the device only and is never transmitted.
• The app works with no internet connection. All riddle content is packaged inside the app itself.

The feedback button 🐞 (optional)

The app has a small feedback button (🐞). Using it is entirely voluntary. There is no text box — you can only tap one of three fixed options: "too hard", "too easy", or "mistake or bug".

If you choose to send feedback, we transmit and store in our database:

• which of the three options you tapped;
• the name of the screen you reported on, and the screens visited during that session (up to the last five, with the time you moved between them);
• the app version.

We do not send free text, device or browser type (user-agent), screen size, IP address, or any personal identifier. Feedback is fully anonymous and cannot be linked back to a specific user.

Usage measurement (Google Analytics for Firebase)

To know how many people open the app and how often, we use Google Analytics for Firebase. On each app open it sends Google:

• technical events such as "app opened", "session started", and how long the app was used;
• the app version, device model, and OS version;
• an approximate country derived from the IP address (the IP address itself is not stored);
• a random app-installation identifier (App Instance ID) that resets if the app is uninstalled or its data is cleared.

There are no ads in this app. We explicitly disabled collection of the Android Advertising ID, ad personalisation, and sharing data for advertising purposes — and we removed the advertising-ID library from the app entirely. This data is not used to identify any individual child, and we do not sell or share it with advertisers.

Where data is stored

Feedback messages are stored with our database infrastructure provider, Supabase, solely to read and improve the product. Usage-measurement data is stored on Google's servers (Firebase). The data is not used for any other purpose.

Children

The app is designed for children. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. The feedback feature does not request personal information, and we recommend a parent supervise its use.

Changes

If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top and publish the new version at this URL.
